In order to connect to MovaMail or MovaMessenger and successfully run the service you must have the following:

  • A java-enabled mobile phone (MIDP 2.0).
  • GPRS data service from your mobile operator. (Remember, the application downloads via your mobile browser, and connects via GPRS. So though you may successfully download the application, it will not run if you do not have the required GPRS data service that allows for full Internet connectivity and not just your browser).
  • Correct APN Settings (Access Point Number). The APN settings allow your GPRS service to make the necessary internet connections.

IMPORTANT: MovaMail and MovaMessenger are downloaded via your phone web browser but connects with GPRS. The most common problem is not being able to connect to MovaMail and MovaMessenger once you have successfully downloaded the application. The two primary reasons for this are:

  • You do not have the required GPRS data service from your mobile operator. In order to connect, please contact your mobile operator to ensure you have the required data service.
  • You do not have your APN Settings configured properly. Contact your mobile operator for the appropriate APN settings. They will likely SMS them to you directly.
